Dr. Scott Johnson

Doctor

Dr. Scott Johnson is the owner of Scott Veterinary Clinic. He grew up in Texas City and began working at the clinic at the age of 15. He graduated from Texas City High School in 1990 then attended Texas A&M where he received both his Bachelor and Veterinary Degrees. After graduating Veterinary School he worked for a few years in the Fort Worth area before moving back closer to home. In 2002, he bought the clinic from Dr. John Scott. Dr. Johnson has five children, Dalton, Preston, Paten, Langston, and Addison, along with four dogs and an African Grey parrot. When he isn’t working he enjoys being with his family and watching his son’s baseball games. His biggest passion outside of that is refereeing college football where he works games in the SWAC, SEC, Mountain West, and Big 12.

Tristen Moses

Veterinary Technician

Tristen Moses is a veterinary technician and started her career at Scott Veterinary Clinic in February 2016. She has seven years of experience working in small animal and exotic practices. At a young age she realized she had an interest in science and a passion for animals. Originally from Louisiana, she and her two children moved to Texas City to be closer to family. During her spare time she enjoys being outdoors with her children.

Megan

Veterinary Technician

Megan Shaffer has been a veterinary technician at Scott Veterinary Clinic for 14 years. She was born and raised in Texas City. Megan is the mother of two kids, Kylie and Ryan. She also has three 4 legged babies, “Mac”, “Cookie”, and “Kamri”. During her free time she enjoys helping her daughter raise her show heifer and steer for FFA. She also enjoys spending time with her family, football (Houston Texans and Texas A&M Aggies), and Summer crawfish parties.

Susan

Receptionist

Susan has worked as receptionist at Scott Veterinary Clinic for 13 years. Her job consists of front end customer services including answering phones, making appointments, greeting clients and answering endless questions. She grew up here in Texas City graduating from Texas City High School in 1968. She and her husband Richard made their home here raising their three children Scott (Dr Johnson), Tracye and Megan. She has always had a love for fur babies which now include her dogs Savannah, Possum, Prissy, Charlie, Elizabeth and cat Elvis. Outside of Scott Vet Clinic her life is busy with traveling and the many activities of her beautiful grandchildren.
