Dr. Scott Johnson


Dr. Scott Johnson is the owner of Scott Veterinary Clinic. He grew up in Texas City and began working at the clinic at the age of 15. He graduated from Texas City High School in 1990 then attended Texas A&M where he received both his Bachelor and Veterinary Degrees. After graduating Veterinary School, he worked for a few years in the Fort Worth area before moving back closer to home. In 2002, he bought the clinic from Dr. John Scott. Dr. Johnson lives with his fiancé, Amber, six children, Dalton, Preston, Paige, Paten, Langston, and Addison, along with six dogs, a cockatoo, and an African Grey parrot. When he isn’t working, he enjoys being with his family. His biggest passion outside of that is refereeing college football where he works games in the WAC, Mountain West, and Big 12.

Dr. Rochelle Traugott


Dr. Rochelle Traugott started working at Scott Veterinary Clinic in March of 2021. She graduated from Ross University School of Veterinary Medicine on the island of St. Kitts in January 2021. Dr. Traugott was born in Houston but relocated to Galveston County as a child. Outside of Scott Veterinary Clinic, Dr. Traugott runs Dusty Moon Veterinary Services, a mobile veterinary clinic specializing in large animals such as cows and horses, as well as caring for household pets. At home, she has two dogs, three cats, a skunk, and two horses. Dr. Traugott and her husband are currently expecting their first child.


Veterinary Technician

Jessica is a veterinary technician at Scott Veterinary Clinic. She started her career at the clinic in September of 2019. Jessica is originally from Allen, Texas but moved down to Galveston in 2015 for college. Jessica attended Texas A&M University at Galveston and graduated in May of 2019 with her bachelor’s degree in Marine Biology. Currently applying to veterinary school, Jessica hopes to become a DVM herself one day. While she is not at work, Jessica enjoys playing with her Siberian Husky girl named Raven and keeping in touch with her family who live all over the country.


Veterinary Technician

Daizrianne is a veterinary technician. She is a 2020 graduate of Texas City High School. Daizy started her internship at Scott Veterinary Clinic in Summer 2019 through the VetMed program at TCHS due to her love of animals. Daizy then accepted the position of kennel technician in January 2020 and moved to veterinary technician in January 2021. She plans to attend Texas A&M at Galveston and then further her veterinary career through Texas A&M. Besides working, Daizy enjoys spending time with her dog, Rocky.



Susan has worked as receptionist at Scott Veterinary Clinic since 2005. She grew up here in Texas City graduating from Texas City High School in 1968. She and her husband Richard made their home here raising their three children Scott (Dr Johnson), Tracye and Megan. She has always had a love for fur babies which include her three dogs and one cat. Outside of Scott Vet Clinic her life is busy with traveling and the many activities of her beautiful grandchildren.



Lauren is a receptionist at Scott Veterinary Clinic. She started her career at the clinic in June 2019 as the kennel technician. In January of 2020, she moved to the receptionist position. Lauren was born and raised in Texas City and started attending Texas A&M at Galveston studying Marine Biology after high school. While she is not at work, Lauren loves spending time with her family, her fiancé, and her six cats.


Kennel Technician

Brodie is a kennel technician and is being trained to become a veterinary technician. She started at the clinic in February of 2021. Brodie was born in Texas City, raised in Wichita Falls, and eventually moved back to the area in 2015. She is currently attending Penn Foster to attain a Veterinary Technician Degree. At home, Brodie cares for her two cats, Batty Coda and Georgie, and her bearded dragon, Stevie.


Kennel Technician

Denise is a kennel technician at Scott Veterinary Clinic. She is also being trained to become a veterinary technician. Denise started at the clinic in March 2021 after receiving her Veterinary Technician Degree from College of the Mainland. Denise was born in the panhandle and moved to Galveston County as a child. While not at work, she enjoys spending time with her husband and two daughters. At home she also cares for her two Australian Shepherds, Cally and Molly.


Clinic Assistant

Kylie is in the Vet Med II program, and she is a 2022 Senior at Texas City High School. Kylie started at Scott Vet Clinic in the summer of 2020 as an intern through the Vet Med program. She assists in many areas of the clinic including helping the receptionists as well as the technicians. When she is not at work, Kylie participates as the reporter of FFA at TCHS and shows 2 steers and pigs at stock shows. At home, Kylie has two dogs named Bitty and Charlie.
